Welcome to my website!

I am an academic librarian working at Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia. I primarily support the research, teaching and learning activities of the Faculty of Science & Engineering as part of a team of Research Librarians. The role includes reference, information literacy instruction, research support, and liaising with academics in regard to our collections.

I’m part of a profession that is keen to ensure that our practice is informed by research literature. We attempt to apply evidence to our services, processes and activities. I’m eager to contribute to the body of research evidence, and as such see myself as a fledgling researcher. My areas of interest are:

  • How can targeted, integrated information literacy teaching effectively support undergraduate teaching and learning?
  • How can research and data skills development in research students be supported by librarians?
  • How can librarians develop their own skills and build capacity for supporting the university community?
